current favorites

carly’s back again with another favorites post and nobody’s surprised! in today’s episode of carlys faves i have skincare, hair, body, nails, netflix, books, music and activities. also all of the products are cruelty free and vegan which is incredible!

acure radically rejuvenating eye cream

i picked up this eye cream not too long ago at bartells because i desperately needed a new cause mine ran out. until recently i thought eye cream was bs but i decided to try one out when i noticed my undereyes were not doing so great.. and it made such a difference but not as much of a difference as this specific one makes! you only need the smallest dot of this under each eye and gently apply it around your eyes and go to sleep. then in the morning, your undereyes will be super healthy and overall looking like you got a ton of sleep and not like you stayed up all night watching the new season of jane the virgin… definitely NOT speaking from experience ๐Ÿ˜‰

not your mothers beach babe dry shampoo

a few weeks ago, i went to summer camp and i brought this dry shampoo and i fell in love! this dry shampoo was only like $6 for a huge bottle. also literally my whole cabin, even the guys were like that smells so good whenever i used it because it smells like literal fruit and coconuts. if they ever made a perfume version of this you bet i would be first in line to buy it. this also adds the perfect amount of volume to your hair and just overall makes it look so good and fresh! i have brown hair and it doesn’t make it white or anything which is great cause a lot of dry shampoos do.

lush charity pot body lotion

the next product i have is this lush lotion. this is the charity pot lotion which basically they have a different charity every month that the proceeds of this lotion go to. i absolutely love that about this lotion and this containers proceeds went to a gun control charity which is such a great cause and its very important to me after hearing about all the awful gun things going on in the united states (where i live). also this lotion makes your skin super soft and smells amazing! absolutely incredible cause and great product, that’s a big win in my book.

londontown nail polish

for the longest time i just never painted my nails or my toenails and they just always looked boring cause i care a lot about using all cruelty free products and i could never find a nail polish that was… until now! i was at ulta and i found this one and guess what, it’s vegan and cruelty free. also this is genuinely the best nail polish i have ever used which is so perfect. it lasts so long and doesn’t clump and is overall so easy to apply and it also drys so fast. i got it in the color ‘mauve over’ which is such a gorgeous color and i definitely cannot recommend this polish enough, ethical and hot.

it’s not summer without you by jenny han

jenny han has to be one of my favorite authors of all time and that is coming from a girl who sucks at focusing so you know her books are good. my current favorite series of hers i’ve been reading this summer is the its not summer without you, we’ll always have summer, etc series. basically the book is about a super cool girl named belly and her summers at the beach house with her family friends and these books have boys, drama, summer vibes and super cute boy parts that will melt your heart. i’m actually planning on reading the last book of the series as soon as i’m done writing this post.

netflix favorites

  • dexter (crime, cops and murder)
  • jane the virgin (super cute, latino, family and funny)
  • friends (chill and funny)
  • bye bye man (scary horror movie)
  • bodyguard (cops, military, action)
  • new girl (chill and funny)

friendship bracelets

the next favorite of mine is just simply making friendship bracelets! i’ve literally been making these bracelets all summer long. i recommend looking on pinterest if you already know all the knots to find some super cool patterns! i make all of these on my hydroflask and there’s so many right now because i posted on my private story and now i have like 12 bracelets to make but i am far from mad about it. i love making these just chilling outside like in the grass, at the beach, at the park, in the sun, at the lake, etc, etc! if you don’t already know and make these i truly can’t recommend it enough, they make just chilling so much better than just on your phone.

my muleskine dotted bullet journal

i decided that to start off the new school year coming up to pick up a new bullet journal that would be super high quality and durable to carry around since i’ll be dong half online and half on campus so i will be a major gal on the go if you get that reference. i’ve always heard such great things about these journals as bullet journals and lets just say they live beyond the hype! i put a bunch of stickers i really liked on the cover which i love the look of and i filled in the first few months of spreads already and i absolutely love this journal and it’s literally my child.
