ten minute makeup look

Since it’s spring now I’ve been loving the simple, glowy and easy makeup look. I’m not kidding when I say that this whole look only takes me 10 minutes in the morning!! These are the products I find most important in my routine and you can change or add a product that you find essential too. This is perfect for school or when you’re just running late or lazy on the weekend.

I forgot to take a photo of it but I start off by applying the Too Faced Hangover RX primer. I apply a bit of this all over my face and I find this really helps prepare my face for makeup. Primer helps make sure my foundation stays on my face without separating and makes my foundation look so much better.

THIS IS THE BEST FOUNDATION EVER!! After trying foundations from Nars, NYX, Tarte, ItCosmetics and many more exspensive brands, the Wet and Wild Photofocus foundation is the best fit for me. This makes your skin look amazing without being too cakey. I’d say it’s around medium-full coverage but it’s also really glowy and perfect for summer!

To be completely honest, I used to love this concealer but I don’t really like it as much anymore so I recently bought the Makeup Revolution concealer (amazing af) but I didn’t have time to take a photo of it so here’s the Maybelline one. I’ll use a bit of this on anyhting the foundation didn’t cover and blend it with the RealTechniques sponge.

Then I’ll quickly dust a bit of translucent powder over my face but not too much cause this one can give flashbacks so be careful! This helps make sure my face makeup all stays on my face though.

I’ll simply use my fingers to apply the Colourpop “Lunch Money” Supershock highlighter. I apply this to my cheeckbones, the tip of my nose and sometimes my browbone if I remember/have time. This finishes off the glowy face makeup and I love highlight so it’s way more of an essential than bronzer for me.

Next I’ll use the Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows to fill in my brows with small strokes. Eyebrows, concealer and chapstick are my most important and essential products. I’m in the shade “soft brown” and it’s such a great pencil for filling them in quickly but really well!! To set them I use a spoole with some EOS lipbalm because what the heck, it works so much better than any brow gel I’ve tried!! It can moisturize the brow hairs too apparently so why not!.

For the quickest and easiest eyeshadow I will go in with either of these Maybelline singles in either the shade “The Glo Down” or “Nude Glow.” I use a EcoTools eyeshadow fluffy brush to apply one of these all-over my lid. I find that without using shadow, my face looks weird cause it adds a color balance.

I’ll finish off my eyes by applying the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I apply this to my top and bottom lashes and it’s pretty quick too. I also love the mascara tube too because it’s so pretty!! I’ve probably mentioned before how good of a mascara this is, I just wish it was cruelty-free :/

I finish off the whole look by using the NYX Dewy Finish setting spray to set my makeup. This leaves the perfect dewy finish and really does help your makeup stick to your face all dayyy!!

What are your product essentials?

Love, Carly Allison

  1. I just went out and bought the same mascara you use today! Can’t wait to try it. The one product I swear by is the Maybelline instant age rewind dark circle eraser!
