back to school try-on clothing haul

The best time of the year for shopping is definitely back to school shopping season!! Something about new clothes always seems to give me a fresh vibe and confidence. So a few days ago my mom, sister and I took a “little” trip to the mall and I have some shirts I’ve bought this summer. Now I’m not sure if these will fit everyone’s dress code because mine is really chill compared to some, I’d say this all definitely isn’t “clothing that exposes amounts of skin that could cause a distraction”.

I’m going to start off with the pants/jeans I bought! I bought these amazing flowy hippie pants from Tilly’s. I’ve been eyeing these pants since I saw them all over Instagram during Cochella season omg!! These are so flattering and the pattern is so artsy and I call them my hippie pants. They flow out at the bottom, I think it’s called flared pants. I literally love these pants so so much and I think I’ll wear them on the first day too 🙂

The next thing I got were these two pairs of jeans!! They both are a bit ripped, one is medium washed and the other was light wash. These are both from Hollister and if you were wondering just for reference I’m a size 1 there. They’re both high-waisted skinny jeans and if you were wondering their 50% right now if you want to get some!! I love Hollister jeans so much and I find that they fit me the best. Those and American Eagle mom jeans are my favorites because I find they fit me best!

Last for pants, I bought these light grey sweatpants! These are so soft and perfect for fall when it gets cold. Pair these with a t-shirt and you have a semi-cute outfit for sweatpants. I definitely would say sweatpants are essential for school, especially after the first few weeks when you kinda give up on looking cute…

Now on to t-shirts because these are SOO essential!! First off I bought this ‘Hampton’s’ t-shirt from Brandy Melville and I love it. It’s really important to buy some cute and simple, easy t-shirts for school! I pair this with literally anything, from sweats to the hippie pants.

At Hollister I bought this flowered crop t-shirt! I’ve been wearing this all summer and it’s just so easy to pair with things. On the top of the shirt there are a bunch of embroidered flowers which are sooo cute! The rest of the shirt is grey with the like curly ruffles across the bottom and the sleeves.

The next t-shirt I got at Hollister is this olive-green one! It has these cute little ties on the sides with little bows at the bottom. This is another easy one you can just tuck into jeans or wear with leggings and a jean jacket. This shirt is also super soft which I love!

Lastly from Hollister, I bought this black and white striped off-the-shoulder top! It has frills on the top, bottom and down the front. I don’t think this fits most dress codes because shoulder but it fits mine fine. I love this shirt so much, and it goes perfect with jeans.

At Garage, I got a cropped white t-shirt with ‘bonjour’ stitched on. This is another super simple piece and it’s so cute! It was longer but I’m bad at laundry so I shrunk it which kinda sucks but it’s still cute. I’m also taking French for my language this year so it’s fitting I bought this!!

The other shirt I got at Garage was a light grey t-shirt that said ‘I have a crush on New York’ which is kinda random and I still haven’t decided if I like it or not. The writing is surrounded by  little flowers and leaves and they’re so cute!!

The last shirt I bought was this flowered tank top at Brandy Melville. They have little bows that tie to make the straps and it’s very cute!! This is one of the cutest tank tops and it goes perfect with flowy or denim shorts. Even though this is ‘one-size’ it can be easily adjusted because of the tie straps!! It also has ruffles on the bottom and the top which are soo cute.

Techniquely this isn’t something you can get at the mall but I bought a Lifeguard sweatshirt when I went to Long Beach this summer! I know I’m going to be wearing this all school year because I love the way it looks and it’s sooo comfy. So I mean if you have an ocean beach near you or are planning on visiting one I’d get one!

I also needed a new backpack this year cause fun fact I haven’t bought one since 3rd grade!! I bought this backpack from Jansport and omg it’s so cute. These backpacks last forever so they’re super durable which I love so much. There’s also like literally 2,000 pockets in this thing which means I bring lots of snacks + fun stuff and like you know school supplies too 😉

Lastly I bought a swimsuit and lots of bras… Trust me, I know this is not at all back to school to buy a swimsuit but I needed one ok!! I got this one at Hollister and it’s SO cute. The top is an olive green strappy front bikini top and the bottom are rouched and ruffled black bottoms!! I also needed new bras and PINK was having a sale so yeah bought those, is this weird? okay bye :))

I hope you enjoyed this haul and maybe it gave you some outfit ideas or things you’d like to buy! I tried to link things I could find but some of this was bought too long ago, sorry about that. Have an amazing day and smile loads <33
